Episode 36: First impressions of the Nokia N900 Maemo device

I just received the Nokia N900 Maemo handset and the moment I did, I took out the camera and recorded my experience. No manuals, no pre-checks ‘so I know what to film’ — this experience was entirely captured ‘live’.

As a result there are a few embarrassing points — for instance, I couldn’t work out how to switch on the device. Then I got the clock setting mixed up. Then I got very confused by the 1-2-3 setup application for a few moments.

So here we go… completely live (and only slightly edited, to remove the mundane waits — caused by me). Part 2 is uploading.

    You have one of the most advanced smartphones to play with and you waste about 7 1/2 minutes showing how to change time and date?
    I hope you can really test out the n900 and let us know the pros and cons of the unit along with special features and issues you'd like fixed or changed.
    I did enjoy the tutorial though.
